Hey There Folks! After a long stint at the fashion week in Delhi it was time for me to unwind and let loose .But had some important clients to catch up with in Mumbai. So I decided to combine work with leisure. I decided that I need to be close to the place which I love –Water Park and Mumbai has plenty of good ones. So my travel itinerary was ready and it was time to for action.
Since I had my client meeting in Bandra I decided to zero in on a water park which was easily accessible from Bandra. Some of my friends from college recommended Shangrila Resort and Waterpark. So I took the Paschim Express from New Delhi Station. I got off at Bandra Terminus next day at almost noon. I freshened up at one of my Delhi classmates who were now settled in Mumbai and luckily for me she stays in Bandra. I had about an hour’s meeting with the client. After winding it up I hired a cab and headed for the resort which is one hour’s drive from Bandra. It is located on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway.
Shangrila Resort : Absolutely Awesome !
Once I reached there and one look at the resort and I was like “wow” what a lovely place. It is a mind blowing place in the midst of hills. Since it was already late evening and I was dead tired I decided to freak out at the water park next day morning and headed at the check in counter. I opted for a A/C deluxe room which had all the amenities and was clean and comfortable. I asked room service for some light meal and retired to bed. Next day woke up early and headed straight to the water park of Shangrila Resort. The family slide, Jacuzzi, the swimming pool everything was just awesome. The water is clean and hygienic. I also checked out the pool den. I missed the rain dance though.
After a fun filled day I headed back to Mumbai by late afternoon. I hogged on to some delicious cheese pav bhaji and did lots of shopping from Linking Road in Bandra .I headed to Mumbai Central by local train. I picked up the yummy Mumbai vada pav and boarded the Punjab Mail I bid adieu to the city of dreams with lovely memories of my fun filled stint at the water park. Stay tuned to my blog to read about more such fun filled places!
Paella : This is one of my all time favorite dishes. I’ve been making this dish for over a year now. It is an easiest Spanish recipe. It should be made in an 18″ pan which can be cooked on an open flame. For a smaller pan and stove top cooking, you just need to add lesser ingredients.
